Apologies, apologies, apologies….
It’s October 11th and I haven’t updated the Colour365 since July – shameful.
BUT in my defence, I’ve had a super busy two months and the time really has just flown by. In August I left the company I’d been working at for five years to pursue a freelance career – it was a scary thing to do but I have to say that so far I’m loving the freedom and challenges that come with it. (Long may that continue).
I’ve also been travelling around a fair bit – lucky! Visiting Madrid, Sicily and Milan in the past few weeks, and there have been a fair few weekends away too. It’s really been a whirlwind couple of months so I let the blog slide a little.
On the plus side, I’ve still been keeping up with the 365 challenge, and that includes the different camera every day. It’s a lot harder now that I’m not working in an office brimming with cameras, but I’ve luckily still been receiving lots of help from friends, family, companies and other people with generous loans of cameras (and phones).
I had a little wobble with the project a week or so ago and felt like chucking it all in – but I’ve had lots of encouraging words to keep me going since then, and as there’s now less than three months to go, I’m hoping I can see it out til the bitter end. I’ve got about 50 spaces left to fill before the end of the year so if you’ve got anything you can lend me, I’d love to hear about it 🙂
I’ve got more travelling coming up before the end of the year – next year I’m off to Krakow to see an old work colleague and in December I’m going to the USA! I’m beyond excited for that trip since I’ve wanted to go to the US for pretty much my whole life. I’ll be doing a West Coast road trip from San Francisco down to Los Angeles, before popping across to Las Vegas before home time. I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been with travelling this year but it’s been a blast.
Until next month – which will hopefully be posted a lot quicker than this effort, here is August and September which were red and pink respectively, two of my favourite colours.
As always, any thoughts, suggestions, comments and more are always very well received in the comments box below.
