Woosh another week has gone by, and the temperature just seems to keep on rising… just like my fundraising total!
I’m so happy to say that I’ve now smashed the fourth target I set for myself of £1,000! I don’t think I will raise the target again, but I’m so so grateful to anybody that has donated so far. I’ve still got 9 days left go on the challenge, and I’d love to see how much more I could get that in time, so please do feel free to chuck an extra quid or two in the pot.
Here’s an update of the past 7 days of covers. I had quite a few collaborations last week, and some real ups and downs. I also finally got around to covering George Formby for my Dad so he can stop moaning now…
Tuesday’s song with Howard took an absolute age to get right… we started filming in the daylight, but didn’t get finished until nearly 11. So thanks to Howard for being patient with my ineptitude… it is appreciated.
Other lovely chaps I’ve worked with this week include Lee, who made us a backing track (yeah, made it!) and booked us some time in the fantastic Music Box Studios here in Cardiff. That was just another average Friday…
I also teamed up with Andrew again for Umbrella (the out takes are great for that one – watch out for those soon), and Jon, who I managed to convince to dust off his saxophone for a wonderful performance of Disney classic “Under the Sea”.
The week culminated in an epic group performance featuring some very generous people who were more than happy to come and sit in my sweatbox flat to help me produce R Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)”. I had Cat on the bass (who is just starting to learn and did an awesome job), Sophie on the kazoo and vocals (I kinda think the kazoo made it!?) and the very game Tzevai and Howard on guitar, ukulele drum and additional vocals. We also had a lot of fun with the flamingos on that day. You really need to watch it to appreciate it.
So without further ado, here are all of last week’s videos…. enjoy!
Oh hang on, one bit of ado… PLEASE DONATE HERE! Thanks 🙂
