30 day song challenge: week 2 update

Here’s another post about the crazy challenge that is the 30 day song challenge (DONATIONS ACCEPTED HERE PLEASE). I promise I”ll be back to photography just as soon as this intense month is over.

The good news is that my cold has pretty much completely gone now, hooray! I never for one moment imagined we’d experience basically a tropical heatwave in the middle of this challenge, so that has presented its own issues – namely being too hot to keep your fingers on the strings and nearly passing out from the heat when recording inside.

I went out on the balcony a couple of times, or recorded at cooler times of the day to try and avoid this problem. Another tricky part of this week has been having a couple of gaps in the song schedule because of things being changed around, last minute collaboration decisions and so on. With hindsight, I should definitely have had a few backup songs ready to go rather than choosing something at the last minute. Oh well, all adds to the fun doesn’t it!

The even better news is that I have now SMASHED the third target that I set for myself. At time of writing I’m now up to an incredible £760… I’m just beyond grateful that so many people have found my challenge worth of a donation, and it really inspires me to keep on going even when I really don’t feel like making a video. So please please please keep the money coming in! DONATE HERE PLEASE GO ON IT’S REALLY WORTH IT.

So there’s three collaborations this week – four if you count the alternate video I made for Day 11 – , which is always fun. It’s a bit more difficult recording with another person because you have to work together and you’re both relying on each other not to mess up – I also feel more pressure on my part – but on the flipside it also spurs you on a bit more.

Without too much further ado, here’s this week’s covers. Stay tuned for the rest of the month for more, and a heap more collaborations. Oh, and please donate yeah, I know I keep banging on about it and nobody has any money at the moment, but if everybody who saw this donated just £2 then it would all add up to something pretty special.

Thanks for watching, Amy xx
