Please indulge my soppy side for one short blogpost… my crazy little hamster died this week and I realised I had so many photos of him that I could probably him into enter the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s most photographed hamster. I found I have over 600 on my phone alone… which I guess is quite a lot
All of these were taken on my iPhone(s) and are usually of him sleeping or eating something… it was pretty much the only time he was still enough to be captured – and in fairness to my excessive photography above, a lot of them are just blurred fluffballs because he refused to pose.
He lived a pretty cool life for a hamster – his cage was mansion sized and I let him eat all kinds of crap which he loved (probably donuts and crisps were his favourite). I had quite a few hamsters when I was younger but I’ve never known any of them to be as ridiculously tame as this one. His official name was Tiberius but he almost never got called that, he had a million and one names which I won’t list here because it would take quite a lot of room…
I used to refer to him as my editorial assistant as he’d often sit on my lap sleeping (or eating, or washing himself) while I was writing or photo-editing. He lived to the ripe old age of 2 years 5 months which is pretty good going if you’re hamster.
So farewell old chap, thanks for putting up with my incessant photographing… you were an awesome model – se ethe slideshow below.
