This week, I had the pleasure of borrowing the Nikon D4 once again.
A real powerhouse of a camera, I was really keen to shoot some portraits, and I’ve been begging my gorgeous friend Liz (look at that hair!) to pose for me for ages…. so mix those two together with the beautiful conditions and Penarth Pier and you’ve got (what I think) is a fantastic combination.
These are some of my favourite portraits that I’ve taken… and really does make me hanker after a professional grade camera… one day, one day…
I feel like I’m really starting to get in a good flow with portrait photography, and this was a great chance to experiment in the golden hour before sunset, especially in such a picturesque location. It also helps that Liz was very patient with my persistent requests to look happy, thoughtful, at the floor, at me, at the sky, “at that thing over there” and so on – so thanks should be extended to her.
There’s not many more words needed to introduce this post… other than I hope you enjoy them, and I’d love to hear any thoughts or opinions in the comments box below.
P.S. I’m tempted to only shoot redheads from now on 😉
i was there this morning! such a great place;) LOVING her red hair – very cute portraits:)
Love them all! You can be my wedding photographer (should I ever decide to get married…) Beautiful! (also, I want red hair.)
